Core Vaccines recommended for dogs include:
- Rabies - this vaccine is required by law to prevent a fatal neurological disease contagious to humans.

- Distemper - a usually fatal virus that can cause respitory disease contagious to humans.
- Parvovirus - a serious viral disease that causes vomiting, diarrhea, and attacks the immune system.
- Hepatitis (Adenovirus) - a viral disease causing inflammation of the liver and liver failure.
- Parainfluenza - a highly contagious respitory disease and sometimes pneumonia.
- Bordetella - one of the bacterial causes of Kennel Cough causing coughing and sometimes pneumonia.
